Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and BlackPixel Labs, LLC, a Californiacompany (“we”, “us”), covering your use of PixelMap Studio at pixelmap.studio. By creating an account or using the Studio you accept them.

Version 2026-09-01 · effective September 1, 2026

Automatic renewal — please read

The Pro plan is a subscription that renews automatically. We will charge your payment method $149.00 USD every year, plus any applicable tax, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, online, in one click from your account — no phone call and no email required. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep Pro until then. We email you before every renewal charge, and we refund any charge in full within 30 days.

1. Your account

You need an account to save, version and share projects; the calculation engine itself works without one. You must be at least 16 years old and provide an accurate email address. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your password secret. Tell us at support@pixelmap.studio if you believe it has been used without your permission.

One account is for one person. Sharing a single account across a team is not permitted; use the project sharing features instead.

2. Free and Pro plans

The Free plan includes the full calculation engine, the 3D pre-visualization and the standard exports, and keeps your three most recently updated projects editable. Projects beyond that stay visible and read-only — we never delete your work because a plan changed.

The Pro plan adds unlimited editable projects, watermark-free exports, PDF reports, OBJ and glTF exports, and video clips. We may change what each plan includes; if a change materially reduces what you already pay for, we will tell you before your next renewal so you can cancel.

3. Billing, automatic renewal and taxes

Pro costs $149.00 USD per year, per user, plus applicable sales, use or value-added tax. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.

How the renewal works

  • Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each year for the same length of term, at the then-current price, until you cancel.
  • Before you pay, we show the renewal terms and ask you to accept them separately from these Terms. We send the same terms to you by email after the purchase, so you have a copy you can keep.
  • We email you 30, 7 and 1 days before each renewal charge.
  • If we raise the price, we will tell you at least 30 days before the renewal it applies to. You can cancel before then and pay nothing more.

How to cancel

Open Account → Manage billing and click Cancel. That is the whole process. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again. If you prefer, you can also email support@pixelmap.studio and we will cancel it for you.

Refunds

We refund any charge in full within 30 days, no questions asked. The details are in the Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms.

Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, we will email you and retry for a few days while your Pro access stays on. If it still fails, the account moves to the Free plan — your projects stay where they are.

4. Your projects belong to you

Everything you put into PixelMap Studio — screen layouts, panel data, logos, uploaded video, project names — is yours. We claim no ownership of it. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your content, process it to produce calculations and exports, and display it to the people you share it with or to anyone holding a public link you have enabled.

You can export your projects at any time, and delete them or your whole account whenever you want. Deleting your account removes your projects, custom panels and version history from our live systems; residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before they are overwritten.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t use PixelMap Studio to:

  • break the law, or infringe someone else’s rights;
  • upload content you have no right to upload, or content that is unlawful, defamatory or malicious;
  • probe, scrape, overload or reverse engineer the service, or work around its rate limits, plan limits or watermarks;
  • resell or white-label the service without a written agreement with us.

We may suspend an account that is doing any of these, and will tell you why when we do, unless the law prevents us.

6. Engineering disclaimer — this is a planning tool

PIXELMAP STUDIO PRODUCES PLANNING ESTIMATES, NOT ENGINEERING CERTIFICATIONS.

Panel specifications come from manufacturer data sheets, and processor and port planning follows each ecosystem’s published rules. Structural figures (weight, rigging points, bumper and motor counts) and electrical figures (current draw, breaker sizing, phase balance, circuit counts) are estimates for planning purposes only.

They are not a substitute for a licensed structural or electrical engineer, for the manufacturer’s own documentation, or for the requirements of your venue, your jurisdiction and your local electrical and rigging codes. You are responsible for having a qualified professional review any rigging or power design before it is built, hung or energized. Never rely on this tool alone for anything involving suspended load or live electrical distribution.

7. Availability

We work to keep the service up, but we do not promise a specific uptime level and we may take it down for maintenance. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose — the exports are there for exactly that.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED HERE, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY CALCULATION, ESTIMATE OR EXPORT WILL BE ACCURATE OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR PROJECT.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEITHER BLACKPIXEL LABS, LLC NOR ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES OR SUPPLIERS WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY OR ANY OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IN ANY TWELVE-MONTH PERIOD WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THAT PERIOD, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold BlackPixel Labs, LLC harmless from any claim, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the service in breach of these Terms, or your reliance on an estimate produced by the service in a design that was built without qualified professional review.

11. Suspension and termination

You can close your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or close an account that materially breaches these Terms, or if we are required to by law. If we close your account without cause, we refund the unused portion of any prepaid period.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will email you and ask you to accept the new version before you keep using the service — for paying customers, at least 30 days before it takes effect. The version number and date at the top of this page tell you which version applies.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

Before filing anything, please email legal@pixelmap.studio and give us 30 days to sort it out — nearly everything gets resolved that way. If we cannot, you and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and each of us waives any objection to venue there. Nothing here prevents either of us from seeking relief in a small claims court, or from seeking an injunction to protect intellectual property.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom, this section does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence, or of your right to bring proceedings there.

14. General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy, are the whole agreement between us. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them to a successor in a merger or sale of the business.
